〔尊敬語〕 (all) persons; ladies and gentlemen; everyone.

〔諸方面〕 every direction; different [diverse, various] quarters [places]; all sides; everywhere. [⇒所々方々 ⇒しょしょ²]

●方々歩き回る wander [tramp] from place to place

・方々探す look for sb [sth] everywhere.

●方々から from various [all] quarters

・方々から問い合わせがあった. I have received enquiries from several quarters [from many people].

●彼は方々で持てはやされている. He is lionized everywhere.

・方々でそういう不満を聞く. I hear the same complaint in various quarters.

●方々に in several places; in all directions; on all sides; everywhere; far and near; up and down; all over 《the town》; wherever one goes

・センサーが方々に設置してある. Sensors are installed all over the place.

・彼らは方々に散っていった. They scattered in all directions.

・あの人は方々に借金がある. He has creditors all over town.

●方々の店を回ったがその品はなかった. I went around to stores everywhere but none of them had that article.
